TODAY IS TO REMEMBER…
18 years ago today, America experienced one of the worst terrorist attacks to ever happen on American soil. Sadly, in today’s world we experience shootings and bombings all the time. So for a kid who may be growing up today and wasn’t around on the actual day those twin towers fell, they may not understand the importance of remembering today, but I do. I’ll never forget how each morning I woke up and watched the news, but that morning we just happen to miss it. When I arrived in school we saw the news all over the TV and I remember how upset I felt in my stomach. I was only in the 7th grade at the time and couldn’t comprehend why such evil was happening. And to this day, I still have a hard time understanding how people can be so cruel and take out such acts as things like what happened on that day or what we see in the news…the concept blows my mind for I just don’t think like that. But today, please take a moment of silence at 8:46 a.m. where ever you are to remember all those lives that were lost that day. Today is for the police officers, fire fighters, rescue volunteer teams, the doctors, and paramedic who all helped in searching for any hope of life. Today is for the families and loved ones who received that last call from their spouse, or friend, or son/daughter, sister/brother who knew their plane was going down. May we never forget how America came together during such a horrible time in our Country’s history to stand up against terrorism and show them (terrorists) that we will not fall…instead we rise together and never forget 9-11. 🙏🏼🙌🏻👏🏻❤️💙9️⃣1️⃣1️⃣🔴⚪️🔵♥️🇺🇸–
